New Delhi: The Centre has appointed senior IAS officer Pradip Kumar Tripathi as the Secretary to the Lokpal. He is currently posted as the Secretary (Coordination) in the Cabinet Secretariat. He will assume his new role until his retirement on June 30, and continue for an additional two years on a contract basis. - IAS officer Amit Yadav (AGMUT:1991), the Chairperson of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), has been posted as the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment. He will take over as the Secretary of the department after the retirement of IAS Saurabh Garg on July 31, 2024.
- IAS officer Rakesh Ranjan (Manipur:1992), presently the Special Secretary in the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC).
