New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Financial Planning Standards Board to offer a certification program in Financial Planning. The course will be available for both students and working professionals. It will be launched by IIM Lucknow in the academic session 2024-25.
The program aims to meet the increasing demand for skilled professionals in the financial planning industry. The initiative will help bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of financial planning by providing industry-relevant knowledge to the students. The course will equip the students planning a career in Financial Planning with skills to offer holistic financial services. In addition, it plans to empower individuals to pursue careers not just in India, but also globally.
Professor Vikas Srivastava, Dean of Programs at IIM Lucknow highlighted the need to introduce the program. He explained that in an ever-changing financial environment, it is important to provide students with adequate skills in financial planning.
