New Delhi: Jotun has appointed Swapna Sawant as the Head of Human Resources (HR) for India. A Norwegian multinational chemicals company, Jotun primarily deals in decorative paints and coating products.
In her new role, Sawant will be based out of Mumbai and report to the Managing Director of the company. She will be responsible for anchoring and implementing HR concepts, tools, and procedures across Talent Acquisition, Total Reward System, Learning and Development, Mobility, and Diversity and Inclusion. In addition, she will manage industrial relations through interactions with unions, government bodies, and other relevant stakeholders.
Before her new appointment, Sawant worked as the Strategic Business HR at Asian Paints. She has also held the post of Assistant Manager (HR Operations) at Sahara India in addition to the post of Assistant Manager (Corporate Alliance) at Global Talent Track Pvt. Ltd.
Sawant pursued a Master in Business Administration in HR (Business Design) from Welingkar Institute of Management. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Maharastra Institute of Technology.
