Gurgaon: Microsoft Teams will soon test new features aimed at making conversations easier to follow, including threaded chats and a redesigned interface. Starting next month, users will get a public preview of an updated layout that combines chats and channels into a single view, simplifying navigation.
Threaded chats, expected by mid-2025, will help users organize conversations more clearly within channels. Microsoft is also adding a “favorites” section, letting users pin important chats and channels for quick access. Additional updates will include message previews, a list of all channels, timestamps, making it easier to locate important discussions.
These new features will be available in both desktop and mobile versions during the preview phase, with a broader rollout for Android and iOS users planned shortly after.
