Proofpoint has announced the appointment of JP Yu as the Vice President of Southeast Asia and Korea (SAK).
Yu brings over 2 decades of experience in the cybersecurity and risk management space. He has spearheaded high-performance teams to drive business success and worked with several multinational corporations and partners across the region. Before joining Proofpoint, JP had held leadership positions at NetWitness, Dell-EMC, Hitachi, Fujitsu, and Avanade where he drove business development and sales initiatives in the SAK region.
In his new role, JP will lead Proofpoint’s sales organization in the SAK region, which includes Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, India, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea. His appointment is expected to drive the company’s growth and expansion across SAK.
JP Yu while talking about the significance of Proofpoint’s cybersecurity platform stated that with digital transformation accelerating rapidly and organizations beginning to face growing cybersecurity threats, Proofpoint’s human-centric platform will help customers navigate the evolving threat landscape.

JP Yu’s caliber, with deep expertise in cybersecurity, will support the company’s strategic expansion across APJ. His strong understanding of unique challenges and opportunities in Southeast Asia and Korea will be pivotal in driving growth and strengthening the company’s mission to protect people and defend data in one of the world’s most dynamic markets.
