Guwahati: Senior IAS Lamchonghoi Sweety Changsan of the 1994 Assam-Meghalaya cadre has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Assam.
An official order confirmed her appointment following her return from central deputation. In addition to her new role, Changsan will also serve as the Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Tribal Affairs (Plain) and as the Chief Executive Officer of the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA).
Known for her extensive administrative experience at both state and central levels, Changsan will now lead two vital departments and the state’s disaster management body, underscoring the government’s trust in her leadership capabilities.
