New Delhi: The Department of Personnel Training (DoPT) has issued an order assigning additional roles to two senior IAS officers on a temporary basis. IAS Punya Salila Srivastava (1993 batch), currently the Union Health Secretary, has been given the additional responsibility of Secretary, Ministry of Ayush.Â
She will assume the charge during the leave of IAS Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha.
This temporary appointment will help the Ministry of Ayush to continue operations smoothly while maintaining coordination with the Department of Health and Family Welfare.
Simultaneously, IAS Nikunja Bihari Dhal (1993 batch), currently serving as Secretary in the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, has been assigned the additional charge of Secretary, Department of Justice. This temporary assignment will be effective from November 17 to November 30, 2025, during the leave of IAS Niraj Verma.
Dhal’s appointment will help ensure seamless functioning and continuity in policy implementation during Verma’s absence.
