Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government has promoted senior IAS officers of the 1996 batch to the rank of Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) as part of a major administrative exercise. Following their elevation, all the officers have been posted as Principal Secretaries in key departments of the state government. IAS Rajeev Topno has been appointed Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department.
Other promoted officers and their new postings are as follows:
IAS Mona Khandhar has been appointed Principal Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department.
IAS T. Natarajan has been posted as Principal Secretary, Finance Department.
IAS Mamta Verma has been given charge as Principal Secretary, Industries and Mines Department.
IAS Mukesh Kumar has been appointed Principal Secretary, Education Department.
Apart from these ACS-level promotions, the state government has also elevated two other IAS officers of the Gujarat cadre to the rank of Principal Secretary. These include:
IAS Arti Kanwar has been promoted and is currently serving as Chief Commissioner of State Tax in Gujarat.
IAS Vijay Nehra, who is on central deputation, has also been promoted. He is presently working as Joint Secretary in the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The promotions are aimed at strengthening senior-level leadership and improving administrative efficiency across important sectors.
