Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said the rapid execution of large infrastructure projects is positioning the state as an emerging hub for economic growth and investment, with timely and quality completion remaining the government’s top priority.
Reviewing the 594-km Ganga Expressway, which passes through 12 districts and benefits over 500 villages, Adityanath directed that construction be completed by the end of February. He said the project would significantly boost connectivity and support industrial, agricultural and logistics activity.
Officials informed him that road testing is being carried out using modern quality benchmarks, alongside the development of wayside amenities and safety systems.
Adityanath also reviewed irrigation projects, including the Middle Ganga Canal Stage-2 and the Erich project, highlighting their role in enhancing farm output, rural income and water security.
He stressed the need to fast-track pending works, strengthen energy security through hydropower and pump storage projects, and expedite land acquisition for Phase-3 of Noida International Airport, which is expected to serve over one crore passengers annually in its first phase.
