Bengaluru: ZET, a Bengaluru-based fintech firm, has received approval from the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) to operate as a third-party application provider (TPAP).Â
The license allows the company to offer UPI services directly on its platform.
ZET enables users to make UPI payments using credit cards by leveraging RuPay’s UPI-on-credit-card feature. Its UPI infrastructure is powered by Juspay’s technology stack and operates through a banking partnership with RBL Bank. The company aims to combine everyday UPI payments with credit card rewards, making credit usage simpler and more accessible.
ZET stated that its focus is to meet users where they already are and help them build healthy credit habits without changing how they pay. The company emphasised that ZET UPI is designed to fit into daily spending while promoting a disciplined and transparent credit journey.
ZET expects monthly UPI transactions via credit cards on its platform to reach around Rs. 100 crore. The growth will be driven by nearly 10 lakh eligible users, with about 75 percent being first-time credit card users.
