Kolkata: Bharti Airtel has laid 1.3 km of fibre across the entire stretch of Vidyasagar Setu and deployed network antennae over six poles.
This would ensure seamless mobile connectivity for users while commuting between Kolkata and Howrah.
The project has been executed in collaboration with the West Bengal government, including the PWD, West Bengal Police Traffic Department and Hooghly River Bridge Commissioners (HRBC).
Vidyasagar Setu is one of Kolkata’s busiest transport corridors and uninterrupted connectivity here is critical, not just for commuters, but also for emergency services, traffic management and public safety.
