Noida, Oct 6 (APAC Media): Gold prices in India’s retail market declined on Tuesday amid continued geopolitical uncertainty surrounding tensions between the United States and Iran. US President Donald Trump said Washington had moved its long-range bombers out of the United Kingdom in response to what he described as a “threat”, adding to uncertainty in global markets.
In international markets, gold prices remained broadly steady, with gains limited by a stronger US dollar and elevated Treasury yields. The pressure was partly offset by reduced expectations of a Federal Reserve interest-rate hike this month. Spot gold fell 0.2% to $4,133.59 an ounce, while US gold futures for December delivery edged 0.02% lower to $4,161.50.
According to retail rates reported on October 6, 24-carat gold was quoted at ₹148,850 per 10 grams in New Delhi, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹136,440. In Mumbai, 24-carat gold stood at ₹149,100 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹136,675.
