Noida, Sep 18 (APAC Media): Gold prices eased marginally in the domestic market on Friday, while silver gained, tracking mixed global cues amid shifting expectations over monetary policy and geopolitical developments.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures were trading 0.34 per cent lower at ₹153,190 per 10 grams around 9:13 am. Silver futures, however, rose 0.24 per cent to ₹238,650 per kg.
According to retail rates, 24-karat gold in New Delhi was priced at ₹152,650 per 10 grams, while 22-karat gold was quoted at ₹139,929. Silver of 999 purity stood at ₹237,810 per kg.
In Mumbai, 24-karat gold was available at ₹152,910 per 10 grams and 22-karat gold at ₹140,168. Silver was quoted at ₹238,220 per kg.
Kolkata recorded a 24-karat gold price of ₹152,940 per 10 grams, while 22-karat gold was priced at ₹140,195. Silver stood at ₹238,140 per kg.

Among other major cities, Bengaluru saw 24-karat gold at ₹153,030 per 10 grams and silver at ₹238,410 per kg. In Chennai, 24-karat gold was quoted at ₹153,590 per 10 grams, while silver was priced at ₹239,190 per kg.
In the international market, spot gold rose 0.2 per cent to $4,346.65 an ounce, while US gold futures declined 0.3 per cent to $4,385.70, according to the report.
Market participants continued to monitor movements in the US dollar, crude oil prices and geopolitical developments for cues on precious-metal prices. Gold is also closely watched as a safe-haven asset during periods of economic and geopolitical uncertainty.
Retail prices may differ from the quoted rates depending on the city, jeweller, taxes, making charges and other local costs.
Investors and consumers typically track both domestic futures prices and international bullion rates to assess short-term movements in gold and silver prices.
