New Delhi, Oct 6(APAC Media): JSW Energy has appointed Basan Gouda S as Vice President and Head – IT & CISO.
Gouda will lead the company’s IT operations and information security functions, covering technology infrastructure, digital initiatives and cybersecurity.
IT And Cybersecurity Leadership
Gouda brings nearly three decades of experience in information technology. He has spent a significant part of his career with JSW Energy and previously worked with Vasavadatta Cement.
In his new role, Gouda will oversee JSW Energy’s IT strategy and infrastructure while working on technology initiatives across the company. His responsibilities will also include information security as the company’s Chief Information Security Officer.
Digital Transformation
The expanded role brings IT infrastructure, digital transformation and cybersecurity under one senior technology leader. For an energy company with large-scale operations, these functions are increasingly linked to business continuity, data protection and the reliability of technology systems.
Gouda’s mandate will include building IT capabilities that can support the company’s changing business and technology requirements. The role also puts cybersecurity alongside broader IT decision-making as JSW Energy continues to expand its use of digital systems.
