New Delhi, Oct 5(APAC Media): Honeywell Technologies will deploy integrated building management systems across selected L&T Realty housing and commercial projects in Mumbai and Chennai.
The agreement covers Honeywell’s integrated building management system (IBMS), which will bring building automation, safety, security and video surveillance onto a common platform. The deployment also includes Honeywell Forge, marking an early large-scale use of the platform in India’s multi-family housing segment.
The system is expected to give building operators a consolidated view of key systems and help monitor building performance in near real time. It is also designed to support faster responses to safety and operational issues.
For L&T Realty, the deployment comes as technology becomes a larger part of managing large residential and commercial developments. Integrating multiple building systems can help operators track energy use, security, equipment performance and other operational functions from a single interface.
Honeywell said the projects will use Forge to provide performance monitoring and operational insights. The company has positioned the deployment as one of its first housing applications of the platform in India.
The projects covered by the collaboration are located in Mumbai and Chennai. The deployment is focused on improving building operations rather than adding separate technology systems for individual functions.
