Lucknow, October 5 (APAC Media): Certificates issued under the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission (UPSDM) have been integrated with DigiLocker and the National Academic Depository (NAD), allowing candidates to access and digitally verify their skill-training and qualification records.
Under the new system, candidates can access their certificates through their DigiLocker accounts and download or share them with employers, educational institutions and other authorised organisations whenever required.
Digital Verification to Support Recruitment
The digital records will enable companies and institutions to verify the authenticity of certificates submitted by candidates during recruitment and other processes.
Details related to candidates’ training and qualifications can also be checked online, reducing dependence on physical documents.
As part of the initiative, UPSDM has completed institutional registration, prepared digital certificate formats and digitised previously issued records.
Skill Certificates To Remain Accessible Digitally
The integration with DigiLocker will also help candidates retrieve their certificates if their original documents are lost or damaged.
The digital certificate system has been developed with support from the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) and Digital India Corporation (DIC).
The digitised records will remain available through the designated platforms, giving trained candidates easier and more secure access to their skill certification details.
