New Delhi, Oct 9(APAC Media): Indranil Ghosh has joined Apollo Global Management as Managing Director – APAC Credit and Hybrid, taking charge of credit and hybrid investment strategies across the Asia-Pacific region.
He joins Apollo after serving as Managing Director and Head of Asia Special Situations at Cerberus Capital Management. He previously led Cerberus’ India operations as India Head, working on investment opportunities in the country.
Previous Roles At AION Capital And Cerberus
Before joining Cerberus, Ghosh served as Principal at AION Capital Partners, a joint venture between Apollo Global Management and ICICI Bank. His experience also includes investment banking roles at Citigroup Venture Capital, Lehman Brothers and Citi.
Focus On APAC Credit Investments
His appointment comes as Apollo continues to develop its investment business across global markets. His experience in special situations, investment banking and regional leadership is relevant to the firm’s credit and hybrid investment activities in Asia-Pacific.
Credit and hybrid strategies can include investments across different parts of a company’s capital structure, depending on the mandate. Ghosh’s new role places him in charge of these strategies across APAC, although Apollo has not provided further details in the information available about his immediate priorities or specific investment plans.
His move from Cerberus to Apollo also marks a return to a firm connected to his earlier career through AION Capital Partners, where Apollo and ICICI Bank operated a joint venture.
