New Delhi, Oct 9(APAC Media): Meta has expanded Ravi Garg’s role to Managing Director, Enterprise Business, Asia Pacific (APAC), putting him in charge of its enterprise business across the region.
Garg previously led Business Messaging and Payments at WhatsApp in India. His new role comes as Meta expands its AI-powered business tools and messaging services to help companies improve customer engagement and automate operations.
Over the past five years, he has helped expand WhatsApp Business Messaging in India across shopping, product discovery, metro ticketing, bill payments and access to government services. He also contributed to the product and market strategy as the business grew into a multibillion-dollar revenue stream.
Before joining Meta, he spent around 13 years at Microsoft in leadership roles covering sales, strategy, business planning and channel management. He has also held senior positions at Nazara Technologies and Sify, building experience across enterprise technology and digital businesses.
In his expanded role, he will focus on growing Meta’s enterprise business across APAC, including the adoption of AI, business messaging and digital technologies. Meta’s enterprise offerings include Business Messaging, Meta Business Agents and Muse APIs, which support AI-powered business interactions and applications.
