Raipur: The Chhattisgarh government has assigned key responsibilities to three IAS officers. According to the official notification by the state’s General Administration Department (GAD), IAS Akash Chhikara (2017 batch) has been appointed as the Collector of Bastar.
Before this, Chhikara served as the Joint Secretary in the Housing and Environment Department. In addition, he also held the additional charge of the Raipur Development Authority (RDA) and the Nava Raipur Atal Nagar Development Authority (NRANDA).
Other two appointments include
- IAS Kaushal (2009 batch) has been temporarily posted as Commissioner, Samagra Shiksha. She has also been given the additional charge of Managing Director, Chhattisgarh Textbook Corporation.
- IAS Avinash Sharan (2009 batch) has been assigned the additional charge of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Raipur Development Authority (RDA), alongside his existing responsibilities. He currently serves as the Commissioner, Town and Country Planning, and Commissioner of the Housing Board.
