New Delhi: Manoranjan Mishra has been appointed as the Executive Director (ED) by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), with effect from November 1, 2023.
In his new role, Mishra will be responsible for the Enforcement Directorate, Risk Monitoring Department and Department of External Investments & Operations.
Prior to his appointment, he was serving as the Chief General Manager in the Department of Regulation of RBI.
He has over 30 years of experience with the RBI, and has worked in several departments, like regulations of banking and NBFC, supervision of banks and currency management.
His contributions to several Working Groups, at the national and global level, have led to the formulation of several regulatory/ supervisory policies.
Mishra is a post graduate in Economics and MBA (banking and Finance), with a master’s degree in Finance and Financial Regulation from the UK’s Aston Business School.
