Sanjay Kumar Jain assumes position as IRCTC CMD

New Delhi: Sanjay Kumar Jain has been appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd (IRCTC) with immediate effect.

Jain was previously serving as the Principal Chief Commercial Manager (PCCM) of Northern Railway. His appointment was approved by the Government of India (Ministry of Railways) for the CMD role, on an immediate absorption basis until December 31, 2026, or until further orders.

Having relinquished his position as PCCM of Northern Railway on February 13, 2024, Jain assumed the role of IRCTC CMD on a regular basis starting February 14, 2024. He is an Indian Railway Traffic Services (IRTS) officer from the 1990 batch and holds qualifications as a Chartered Accountant (CA).
