New Delhi: Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer Sanjay Kumar Jain has been appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC).
After the recommendation of Search-Cum-Selection Committee (SCSC), his appointment to this post was approved. The post of CMD has been vacant since January 2021, after the retirement of Mahendra Pratap Maal.
Jain, an IRTS officer of 1990 batch, was serving as the Principal Chief Commercial Manager in Northern Railway. Prior to this, he served as the Joint Secretary the Department of Public Enterprises, Government of India.
