New Delhi: The dates for assembly elections of five states were announced by the Election Commission of India (ECI), on Monday. Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Mizoram will go to polls between November 7 and November 30, on different days.
The following are the dates of Assembly Elections 2023 for the five states:
- Mizoram: November 7
- Chhattisgarh: November 7 and November 17
- Madhya Pradesh: November 17
- Rajasthan: November 23
- Telangana: November 30
Votes for the five States will be counted on December 3, the Election Commission of India (ECI) announced during the press conference.
According to Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar, approximately 16 crore voters will be eligible to cast their votes during these elections. Kumar also declared that strong measures are being taken to make sure the polls are inducement-free.
