New Delhi: IndiGo has announced a fuel surcharge on air tickets starting March 14, with passengers expected to pay up to ₹2,300 extra depending on the distance of the flight. The airline said the decision comes in response to rising aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices, which significantly impact operating costs.
Fuel charge on bookings
Due to the sharp increase in fuel prices amid the evolving geopolitical situation in parts of the Middle East, IndiGo will implement a fuel charge on domestic and international routes for bookings made on or after 14 March 2026.
