Chennai: The Government of Tamil Nadu and Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt Ltd (HCCB) have collaborated to train 5,000 individuals under the government’s ‘Naan Mudhalvan’ scheme, the company said on Sunday.
The partnership with the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation will train 5,000 youths under sales and marketing verticals. HCCB will serve as the main contact and offer orientation and programme materials apart from conducting online and offline training sessions in partnership with Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation, a company statement said here.
The individuals selected for the scheme, through this initiative, will get to enhance interactions with industry leaders, connect learners with local industries and provide entrepreneurial opportunities at ‘zero cost’.
HCCB chief public affairs, communications and sustainability officer, Himanshu Priyadarshi said, “The state is home to one of our oldest factories and, over the years, we have taken pride in contributing to its growth. Now, we are elated to play a role in upskilling its vibrant youth,” adding that they remain committed to the partnership “ensuring that the young minds are well equipped and primed to excel in the dynamic realm of sales and marketing.”
“This collaboration promises a consistent flow of well-trained graduates ready for diverse corporate roles,” said Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation Managing Director J Innocent Divya, while thanking HCCB for their support.
