Sita Ram Meena appointed India’s Ambassador to the Republic of Niger; IAS Chinmay Pundlikrao Gotmare appointed Director in Dept of Expenditure

New Delhi: Several IAS and IRAS officers were recently transferred. Their names and appointments are as follows:

• Sita Ram Meena, currently serving as a Director in the Ministry of External Affairs, has been appointed as the new Ambassador of India to the Republic of Niger.
• IAS officer Chinmay Pundlikrao Gotmare, from the 2009 batch, has been appointed the Director in the Department of Expenditure till April 12, 2028.
• The tenure of IAS officer Sandhya Bhullar, presently the Joint Secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry & International Trade, has been extended till February 23, 2025. The 2003 batch officer has previously served as the Director of the Department of Health and Family Welfare.
• IRAS officer Usha Venugopal has been posted as an Additional Member (Finance) in the Railway Board. The 1987 batch officer is currently posted as the Principal ED (Revenue), Railway Board.
• IRAS officer Aparna Garg will serve as the Director General in the Indian Railways Institute of Financial Management (IRIFM), Secunderabad. Garg is a 1987 batch Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS) officer
• IRAS officer Dr N K Srivastava, from the 1988 batch, will serve as Additional Member (Revenue) in the Railway Board. He is currently posted as the Principal Finance Advisor at North Central Railway (NCR).
