New Delhi: Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Paatil reviewed the Namami Gange Mission projects in New Delhi. During the review, the Minister unveiled the Environmental Flows (E-flows) Monitoring System, created by the National Mission for Clean Ganga. This system is intended to monitor critical parameters of the Ganga river’s flow using data obtained from the Central Water Commission. The E-flows Monitoring System is linked into the PRAYAG Portal, which monitors water quality and sewage treatment facility performance along the Ganga River.
The Minister emphasized the necessity of finishing existing projects within the time frames specified, as well as the need for innovative solutions to developing river management concerns. The assessment addressed the status of several projects within the Namami Gange Mission, with an emphasis on meeting project milestones efficiently.
Patil also emphasized the need of ensuring the Ganga river’s ecological health via appropriate monitoring and management measures.
