New Delhi : A Significant bureaucratic reshuffle took place in Delhi with the transfer and posting of eight IAS officers. The reshuffle is part of a broader effort to streamline administrative functions and enhance efficiency in various government departments.
Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena influenced the transfers of more than a half-dozen senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and DANICS personnel between Delhi government ministries and those outside its jurisdiction.
According to the Delhi government’s services department, six of the IAS officials involved in the overhaul were awaiting assignments and belonged to the Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMUT) or Central cadres and batches from 1996 to 2008.
Here is a list of transferred officers:
- – A Anbarasu, a 1996-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre, who previously served as Principal Secretary for Public Works Department, Trade and Taxes, and CEO of the Delhi Jal Board, has been relieved from the role of Principal Secretary, Trade and Taxes.
- – Nikhil Kumar, a 2000-batch IAS officer from the AGMUT cadre, has been appointed Secretary of Land & Building.
- – Chanchal Yadav, a 2008-batch IAS officer, is now Secretary (Home).
- – Arti Lal Sharma, a 2010-batch IAS officer, will join the Delhi Development Authority (DDA).
- – Jitender Yadav, also from the 2010 batch, has been assigned as Additional Commissioner in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).
- – Ravi Jha, from the 2011 batch, is appointed as Deputy Commissioner (New Delhi).
- – Marathe Onkar Gopal, a 2008-batch DANICS officer, will be posted in the MCD.
- – Krishna Mohan Uppu, a 2009-batch IAS officer from the AGMUT cadre, who previously held dual roles as Excise Secretary and Secretary of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), has been relieved of the Excise Secretary role and will focus solely on his responsibilities as Secretary of NDMC.
