Chandigarh: The Government of Punjab has undertaken a major bureaucratic reshuffle in the state, transferring 22 Indian Police Service Officers. Among the transferees, IPS Dharanpreet Kaur (2006 batch) has been posted as Inspector General of Police of Ludhiana.
The list of other prominent transfers includes:
Senior IPS Naunihal Singh (1997 batch) has been posted as the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) of the Internal Vigilance Cell, Punjab.
Senior IPS S.P.S Parmar (1997 batch), previously the ADGP, Bathinda Range, has been transferred and posted as ADGP Law and Order, Punjab.
IPS Gurpreet Singh Bhullar (2004 batch) has been appointed as the Commissioner of Police in Amritsar, replacing IPS Ranjit Singh, who has been Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Ferozpur range.
IPS Mandeep Singh Sidhu (2008 batch) has become the DIG of the Patiala range. He is currently the DIG IRB Punjab in Patiala.
IPS Alka Meena (2010 batch) will take charge as the DIG Personnel, Punjab, Chandigarh.
IPS Ankur Gupta (2016 batch) has become the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Law and Order of Jalandhar.
IPS Ajay Gandi (2018 batch) will take charge as the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Moga.
IPS Aditya (2018 batch) will be the new DCP Headquarters of Jalandhar.
