Bengaluru: Tata Elxsi has opened its new ‘xG-Force’ lab in Bengaluru, focusing on accelerating 5G innovations across industries. The lab is designed to support sectors such as transportation, healthcare, Industry 4.0, and media by providing advanced infrastructure and tools for 5G applications.
Manoj Raghavan, Managing Director and CEO of Tata Elxsi, and Kevin Plunkett, Vice President of Cloud Services at Boost Mobile, inaugurated the facility. Boost Mobile, formerly DISH Wireless, is the first company to utilize the lab’s services.
The xG-Force lab offers an integrated ecosystem aimed at helping companies explore and test 5G-driven solutions. The facility will be instrumental in speeding up the deployment of 5G technologies for a range of applications. According to Raghavan, the lab is a key resource for both consumers and enterprises to validate and accelerate the adoption of emerging technologies like AI and automation.
This move comes as Tata Elxsi strengthens its presence in digital engineering, focusing on cross-industry collaboration for next-gen technology. The partnership with Boost Mobile highlights the growing need for 5G infrastructure to support the digital transformation of multiple industries.
