New Delhi: The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced the appointment of Debasish Mishra as the Chief General Manager of its New Delhi Circle. He will replace Kalpesh K Avasia who has recently retired from the post. Mishra brings extensive experience across Credit, Operations, Forex, IT, HR, and MSME Sectors.
The New Delhi Circle of SBI includes more than 1,700 branches that aim to strengthen the bank’s market position in line with the nation’s growth. Mishra, a certified financial planner and Chevening Gurukul Scholar is expected to drive the bank’s growth with his vast experience.
Currently, SBI has 17 local head offices, headed by Chief General Managers, overseeing its network of 22,600 branches across the country.
