Jammu: In a move to enhance administrative efficiency, the Jammu and Kashmir government has announced the transfer and posting of several senior officers of the AGMUT cadre. The changes aim to improve governance and streamline departmental operations.
According to the official notification, IAS Shantmanu (1991 batch), currently serving as Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Higher Education Department, will now also serve as Administrative Secretary, School Education Department.
Other key transfers and postings include:
IFS Suresh Kumar Gupta (1991 batch), who was the Principal Secretary, Culture Department, has been relieved of his additional responsibilities.
IAS Saurabh Bhagat (2002 batch), Commissioner/Secretary, Science and Technology Department, has been given the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Information Technology Department, relieving Shantmanu of his additional responsibilities in the department.
IFS K. Ramesh Kumar (2000 batch), previously Chief Conservator of Forests for Settlement & Demarcation, has been transferred as Commissioner/Secretary, Culture Department, replacing Suresh Kumar Gupta.
These strategic changes are expected to strengthen governance and improve the functioning of key departments in Jammu and Kashmir.
