New Delhi: Artificial intelligence startup Krutrim has partnered with Lenovo to develop what it claims will be India’s largest supercomputer. The collaboration aims to strengthen AI computing infrastructure in the country.
Supercomputer to Power AI and Cloud Offerings
Navendu Agarwal, Chief Information Officer of Ola Group, announced the partnership at Lenovo TechWorld India 2025 in Mumbai. He stated that the supercomputer would be integrated into Krutrim’s cloud ecosystem and support its AI initiatives. The company is also working on its own foundational AI models and an AI chip.
Krutrim is currently developing its third AI model, Krutrim 3, which is expected to be trained on 700 billion parameters. This marks a significant jump from its previous models, Krutrim 1 (7 billion parameters) and Krutrim 2 (12 billion parameters). Agarwal also highlighted that Krutrim has a 700-member team dedicated to full-stack AI development, including applications for agentic platforms, contact center AI, and manufacturing AI.
