New Delhi: The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), and Intel India have introduced a new AI training initiative aimed at equipping 1 lakh young innovators with artificial intelligence and entrepreneurial skills by 2025.
AI for Entrepreneurship: What It Offers
The program, titled AI for Entrepreneurship, is a micro-learning module hosted on the Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH). It seeks to simplify AI concepts and integrate them with entrepreneurial thinking, enabling learners to develop AI-driven business ideas.
Key highlights of the program include:
Accessible Learning: Designed for individuals from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, including rural learners.
Industry-Backed Certification: Participants will receive a certification jointly issued by MSDE, NSDC, Skill India, and Intel.
Interactive Modules: The curriculum covers AI applications in business, entrepreneurial strategies, and real-world problem-solving.
Bridging the Skill Gap in AI and Business
Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Jayant Chaudhary emphasized AI’s role in shaping India’s future workforce. He stated that the initiative aligns with the government’s broader goal of preparing youth for digital economy challenges.
Intel India President Gokul Subramaniam highlighted the need for AI education in fostering local entrepreneurship. He noted that Intel’s AI skilling initiative aims to provide practical knowledge that can translate into business opportunities.

This collaboration between the Indian government and Intel is expected to contribute to India’s skilling ecosystem, making AI more accessible while promoting entrepreneurship.
