New Delhi, May 15 (APAC Media): National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the re-examination for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2026 will be conducted on 21 June 2026.
The fresh examination schedule comes after the cancellation of the original exam held on May 3, following allegations of a paper leak.
The announcement was made through the official X handle of the NTA. In its official statement, the NTA said, “National Testing Agency has decided to conduct the re-examination of NEET (UG) 2026 on Sunday, 21 June 2026.” The agency also urged candidates and parents to rely only on official communication platforms for authentic information regarding the examination, admit cards, and admission-related updates.
The cancellation of the May 3 examination, which was officially announced on May 12, had triggered anxiety among lakhs of students and parents awaiting clarity on the revised examination process. The controversy surrounding the alleged paper leak led to widespread demands for transparency and strict action to ensure fairness in one of the country’s largest entrance examinations for undergraduate medical admissions.
NEET-UG serves as the gateway for admissions to MBBS, BDS, and other undergraduate medical courses across India. With the revised date now confirmed, students are expected to resume preparations for the crucial examination.
