Noida, May 15 (APAC Media): India’s total exports of merchandise and services are estimated at USD 80.80 billion in April 2026, rising 13.59% from a year earlier, according to official trade data.
The growth reflects sustained global demand for Indian goods and services and steady external trade momentum amid ongoing global economic uncertainties.
“India’s exports to West Asia declined 28 per cent year-on-year to USD 4.16 billion in April, compared with USD 5.78 billion in the same month last year,” the Commerce Secretary said.
Key export sectors, including engineering goods, information technology services, pharmaceuticals and refined petroleum products, contributed to the overall performance, according to the data.

Services exports continued to play a key role, driven by demand for digital services, software solutions, and business process outsourcing in major overseas markets.
Officials said the latest figures underscore India’s strengthening position in global trade and the diversification of its export base across sectors and markets.
Economists expressed the double-digit expansion points to stable external sector conditions and India’s deeper integration into global supply chains.
