Mumbai, May 15 (APAC Media): The Government of Maharashtra has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AM Intelligence Labs Pvt. Ltd to establish a 500 MW Integrated Green Data Centre Park and AI Compute Hub in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).
The agreement was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis as part of the state government’s efforts to strengthen Maharashtra’s digital infrastructure and artificial intelligence ecosystem.
Key Highlights of the Project
Proposed Investment: Rs. 1.14 lakh crore
Employment Generation: Around 8,000 jobs
Project Type: Integrated Green Data Centre Park and AI Compute Hub
Energy Source: Fully powered by renewable energy
According to the state government, the project aims to create a large-scale AI and digital infrastructure ecosystem capable of supporting advanced AI model training, cloud-based AI services, and high-capacity data processing.
Officials said the initiative will play a major role in boosting investments, employment opportunities, and technological innovation in Maharashtra. The project is also expected to contribute significantly to the state’s green energy transition by operating entirely on renewable power sources.
The proposed AI Compute Hub is expected to cater to the growing demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure and cloud computing services in India. It will also support emerging sectors dependent on high-performance computing and large-scale data management.
The project aligns with the state government’s broader vision of positioning itself as India’s leading hub for artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, and sustainable technology-driven growth.
