Patna, May 16 (APAC Media): As part of a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Bihar government has transferred 15 IAS officers. Accordingly, IAS Vinod Singh Gunjiyal has been appointed as the Secretary of the Education Department.
Additionally, he will also hold charge of the Sports Department.
Gunjiyal, a 2007 batch officer, currently serves as Bihar’s Chief Electoral Officer.Â
Other transfers and appointments include
- IAS B. Rajendra (1995 batch) has been relieved of additional responsibilities of the Education Department while continuing his role in the General Administration Department.
- IAS K. Senthil Kumar (1996 batch) has been appointed Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Labour Resources Department. He has also been given additional charge of the Backward and Extremely Backward Classes Welfare Department.Â
- IAS Pankaj Kumar Pal has been appointed Secretary, Road Construction Department.
- IAS Rajesh Kumar has been shifted to Principal Secretary, Public Health Engineering Department (PHED).
- IAS Avinash Kumar Singh has been appointed Secretary-cum-Mines Commissioner.
- IAS Himanshu Kumar Rai has been given additional charge of Kosi Division.
- IAS Prem Singh Meena has been assigned additional charge of Bhagalpur Division.
- IAS Anshul Kumar has been given additional charge of Purnia Division Commissioner.
- IAS Abhay Kumar Singh has been shifted to the Information Technology Department and the MD of BELTRON.
- IAS Dharmendra Singh has been moved from the Cooperative to the Sugarcane Industry Department.
- IAS Deepak Anand has been posted to the Food and Consumer Protection Department.
- IAS Shrikant Kundlik Khandekar has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.
- IAS Gunjan Singh has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.
- IAS Himanshu Sharma has been appointed Secretary-in-Charge, Science & Technology Department, while retaining JEEViKA responsibilities.
- IAS Lokesh Kumar Singh has been relieved of the additional charge of the Science & Technology Department.
