Lucknow, 3 September (APAC Media): Sharad Srivastava has been appointed as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at the Uttar Pradesh State Transformation Commission, taking on a key role in strengthening the organisation’s cybersecurity and information-security capabilities.
Prior to this appointment, Srivastava served as AVP, IT Audit and Compliance, at Arka Fincap Limited, where he was involved in technology audit and compliance functions.
In his new role, Srivastava will be responsible for strengthening the Commission’s information-security framework and supporting the protection of its digital infrastructure, systems, and information assets. His mandate is expected to cover areas including data protection, access management, cyber-risk monitoring, and incident preparedness.
The appointment comes as public-sector institutions increasingly adopt digital technologies to enhance administration, data management, service delivery, and decision-making. As these digital ecosystems expand, robust cybersecurity frameworks are becoming critical to ensuring resilience and trust.
The Uttar Pradesh State Transformation Commission is focused on supporting transformation and development initiatives across the state. Srivastava’s appointment adds dedicated cybersecurity leadership to this broader technology and transformation ecosystem, reinforcing the importance of information security in the state’s digital initiatives.
