IAS G Surya Sai Praveenchand Takes Charge as JMD of AP Transco

Vijayawada:  IAS G Surya Sai Praveenchand, a 2019-batch officer, took charge as the Joint Managing Director (JMD) of AP Transco. 

Known for his proactive leadership style, he aims to boost the efficiency, reliability, and national ranking of Andhra Pradesh’s power transmission network. An Electrical Engineering graduate from IIT Patna, he cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination in 2018.

A native of Andhra Pradesh, Surya Sai Praveenchand has held several key administrative roles, including Assistant Collector (Training) in Ananthapuramu, Under Secretary in the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department, Sub Collector of Vijayawada, and Municipal Commissioner of Kadapa. He also served as Additional Commissioner at APCRDA, where he was involved in urban planning initiatives. His new role at AP Transco marks another significant responsibility.
