Kolkata: The West Bengal government has decided to allow a cashless facility in case of hospital indoor treatment when it goes beyond Rs 2 lakh for pensioners.
The pensioners themselves or their representatives have to inform the state finance department when the cost exceeds the ceiling limit of Rs 2 lakh.
As of today, only current employees are allowed to avail treatment facilities beyond Rs 2 lakh.
As per the finance department, upon admission at a private hospital, the pensioners or their family have to seek an estimated cost for the next 10 days.
The finance department will clear the pensioner’s focus within 24 hours of receipt.
The hospital also needs to submit a prognosis report.
