New Delhi, May 29 (APAC Media): Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), a public sector steel producer under the Ministry of Steel, and EdCIL (India) Limited, a PSU under the Ministry of Education, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote inclusive education.
The agreement has been signed as part of SAIL’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). As part of this MoU, ‘Smart Digital Classrooms’ will be installed in schools located around SAIL’s operational areas.
Key Objectives of the MoU
- To promote inclusive education and enhance learning outcomes
- To promote quality education and learning opportunities for all
- To improve learning outcomes through the use of digital infrastructure in schools
The initiative aligns with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), which focuses on ensuring inclusive, equitable, and quality education, along with lifelong learning opportunities for all.
The MoU was signed between SAIL and EdCIL in the presence of K. K. Singh, Director (Personnel), SAIL. Other senior officials from SAIL and EdCIL were also present at the signing ceremony.
