Noida, July 26 (APAC Media): Maruti Suzuki has announced the fuel-efficiency figures for the updated Brezza ahead of its market launch, with the compact SUV set to offer improved mileage across its petrol and CNG variants.
The refreshed Brezza continues to be powered by the company’s 1.5-litre K-series petrol engine, paired with manual and automatic transmission options. The carmaker says the revised powertrain has been optimised to deliver better fuel efficiency while maintaining its performance and everyday usability.
The petrol manual variant is claimed to return improved mileage, while the automatic version also records higher fuel-efficiency figures compared with the outgoing model.
Maruti Suzuki has additionally confirmed that the CNG variant remains one of the most fuel-efficient offerings in the compact SUV segment, catering to customers seeking lower running costs.
Besides mechanical updates, the facelift receives a refreshed exterior design featuring a revised front grille, redesigned bumpers, updated lighting elements and new alloy wheels.
The cabin has also been upgraded with additional comfort and convenience features, including a larger touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats, wireless smartphone connectivity and enhanced interior trim.
On the safety front, the updated Brezza is expected to offer six airbags, electronic stability control, hill-hold assist and a wider range of driver assistance and connectivity features on higher trims.
The latest updates are part of Maruti Suzuki’s strategy to strengthen the Brezza’s position in India’s highly competitive compact SUV segment. The model competes with rivals, including the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV 3XO and Skoda Kodiaq.
The company believes the combination of improved fuel efficiency, updated styling, expanded feature list and enhanced safety equipment will help the Brezza retain its appeal among urban and family buyers.
Maruti Suzuki is expected to announce variant-wise pricing and full specifications at the time of launch. Bookings for the updated Brezza are already underway at dealerships, with deliveries likely to commence shortly after its official introduction.
