Hyderabad, July 27(APAC Media): Zen Technologies has introduced a portable anti-drone system designed for operations in high-altitude and mountainous regions, where conventional vehicle-mounted platforms are difficult to deploy.
The Hyderabad-based defence technology company unveiled the High-Altitude Man-Portable Anti-Drone System (MPADS) on Kargil Vijay Diwas. The system is built for deployment in remote border areas and can be carried by soldiers or transported using pack animals, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and unmanned ground vehicles.
According to the company, the platform can detect drones from up to 5 km by scanning the 400 MHz to 6 GHz radio frequency spectrum. It can also jam drone communication links and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signals within a range of up to 3 km. The system is designed to identify multiple drones, including swarms, and operate in all weather conditions.
The platform integrates a radio frequency-based drone detector with a Data Fusion and Command Centre that combines information from multiple sensors. This enables operators to monitor airspace, identify aerial threats and support real-time decision-making during operations.Zen Technologies announced the product a day after reporting weaker financial results for the June quarter. The company posted a 27.8% year-on-year decline in net profit to ₹34.4 crore, while revenue fell 10.5% to ₹141.6 crore. EBITDA dropped 40.2% to ₹38.7 crore, with margins narrowing to 27.3%. Shares of the company closed 1.82% lower at ₹1,768 on Friday, although the stock remains up more than 30% so far in 2026.
