Dehradun, July 13 (APAC Media): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved nearly ₹99 crore for development projects across the state.
The funds will support healthcare, roads, public infrastructure, tourism and power projects in several districts.
A major share of the allocation will go towards the state’s Golden Card healthcare scheme.
₹75 Crore Push for Golden Card Scheme in Uttarakhand
The Dhami government has approved ₹75 crore for the State Health Authority’s Golden Card scheme.
The funds will help clear pending payments and ensure uninterrupted healthcare benefits for beneficiaries.
The allocation has been made from the state budget.
₹16.24 Crore for Key Infrastructure Projects
The government has also cleared ₹16.24 crore for infrastructure projects in Nainital, Dehradun, Rudraprayag and Haridwar.
Around ₹3.68 crore will be spent on automating the driving test track in Ramnagar.
In Dehradun, ₹2.73 crore has been approved for a 150 KLD sewage treatment plant at the Police Communication Training Centre in Dhorankhas.
Haridwar’s Bahadrabad Industrial Area will get a new fire station at a cost of ₹9.45 crore.
Funds have also been approved for repair and maintenance work at the Treasury Building in Rudraprayag.
Uttarakhand Purnagiri Route to Get Street Lights
Religious routes and local connectivity are also part of the development push.
The government has sanctioned ₹5 crore to install street lights from Kakrali Tankpur to Maa Purnagiri Dham in Champawat. The first ₹2 crore instalment has been released.
In Didihat, ₹70.87 lakh has been approved for an internal road at Lohargaon.
Beatles Street, Open Gym Among New Projects
Several projects linked to education and tourism have also received funding.
An open gym will be built for students at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Latauli, Champawat, at a cost of ₹99.44 lakh.
In Pauri Garhwal, the road from Janki Bridge to Chaurasi Kutiya will be developed as ‘Beatles Street’. The project has received an approval of ₹85.74 lakh.
Another ₹81.43 lakh has been cleared for a pedestrian path from Uchchaidi Nanda Temple to Kholi Ban in Dharchula.
Power and Temple Projects Get Funding
The government has approved ₹5 crore for an electricity sub-station in the Sarayu Valley and Shama region of Bageshwar.
The project is expected to strengthen power infrastructure in the Kapkot constituency.
In Champawat, ₹75 lakh has been approved for the beautification of the Shiv Temple at Dungri Fartyal village.
Funds will also be used for interlocking tile work near Maa Purnagiri Dham.
New Dharamshalas Planned in Nainital
Two new dharamshalas will be constructed in Nainital district with an allocation of ₹87.95 lakh.
The facilities will come up at Kaidakot Bug in Bhimtal constituency and Mounibag Ashram in Dhari.
The government has released the first instalment of ₹52.77 lakh for the projects.
Rural Roads and Bridges Get ₹1.37 Crore
CM Dhami has also approved ₹1.37 crore as the first instalment for rural roads and bridges.
The projects include a pedestrian bridge in Chamoli and road improvement work in Deval.
A 30-metre steel truss pedestrian bridge will also be built over the Sated river near Bansari village in Pauri Garhwal.
The latest approvals spread funding across healthcare, connectivity, tourism and public infrastructure.
With projects reaching both urban centres and remote areas, the Uttarakhand government is looking to accelerate development while strengthening essential services across the state.
