Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, August 18, 2026: Agastya Green Energy Limited, part of the Anubhav Agarwal Group, has announced its expansion into integrated solar manufacturing at the Orvakal Industrial Area in Kurnool.
The project, involving an investment of approximately Rs 7,800 crore, will complement the company’s existing solar cell and module manufacturing operations and significantly strengthen its presence across India’s solar photovoltaic value chain.
Bringing Together Manufacturing Capabilities
The proposed facility will bring together ingot, wafer, cell, and module manufacturing under an integrated ecosystem. This is expected to enhance domestic value addition, improve manufacturing efficiency, and deepen the company’s integration across both upstream and downstream segments of the photovoltaic industry.
Boost to India’s Solar Manufacturing Ecosystem
The expansion comes as India continues to strengthen its domestic solar manufacturing and renewable energy ecosystem. The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has been progressively strengthening the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) framework, including ALMM List III, which covers solar PV modules, cells, and wafers.
Agastya Green Energy’s new facility aligns with the government’s Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives. The project is also expected to support India’s broader goals of renewable energy expansion, enhanced energy security, and the development of a globally competitive domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem.
