New Delhi, August 18(APAC Media): Sonata Software has appointed Hariprasad Rebala as its Chief AI Officer as the IT services company steps up its focus on artificial intelligence.
Rebala will lead the company’s AI strategy and work on bringing AI into its technology platforms, services and business operations. He will also work with customers and technology partners on AI-led projects.
Rebala Brings 30 Years Of Technology Experience
He has more than 30 years of experience in IT services, enterprise technology and startups. Before joining Sonata Software, he was Chief of AI Solutions and Growth at a deep-tech AI startup.
He previously co-founded Forfend, where he worked on IoT and conversational AI platforms. His earlier leadership roles include positions at Mindtree, Capgemini and Wipro.
His experience also includes working on technology and transformation projects in the banking and financial services sector.
Sonata Steps Up Its AI Focus
The appointment comes as Sonata Software looks to use AI more widely across its engineering, delivery and client solutions.
Rebala will focus on helping the company develop AI capabilities that can be used in real business situations, rather than keeping AI projects limited to trials and experiments.
Sonata Software CEO Rajsekhar Datta Roy said Rebala’s experience across AI startups and IT services would support the company’s move towards an AI-focused business model.
For Sonata, the appointment also signals a shift towards giving AI a larger role in its technology strategy and future enterprise offerings.
