New Delhi, August 7(APAC Media): Tata Motors has launched the Nexon Camo Edition in India at a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The new version adds cosmetic changes and more equipment to the compact SUV without changing its engine lineup.
The Nexon Camo gets two new exterior colours — Munnar Mist and Coorg Cloud. The first has a grey-green finish, while the second gets a grey-silver look. Camo badges on the front fenders and Camo-themed seat detailing are also part of the update.
The more significant changes are inside the cabin. Tata has added a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 0.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The SUV also gets an integrated dashcam that uses its surround-view cameras to record footage and save clips in the event of an impact.
Depending on the variant, buyers can get a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, 360-degree camera with Blind View Monitor, JBL nine-speaker audio system, wireless charging, connected-car features and ADAS functions.
Safety equipment includes six airbags and electronic stability control. The Nexon also carries five-star ratings from both Global NCAP and Bharat NCAP, according to the available specifications.
Tata has not made mechanical changes to the Nexon Camo Edition. It continues with the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol, 1.5-litre diesel and 1.2-litre turbo-CNG engines. Transmission choices vary by variant and include manual, AMT and dual-clutch automatic options.
The Nexon Camo Edition is available in Creative, Creative+ S, Creative+ PS, Fearless+ PS and Fearless+ A PS trims. The starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh puts the focus on the added cabin technology and dashcam, while the underlying powertrain remains the same as the regular Nexon.
