New Delhi, August 7(APAC Media): Vivo has brought its S-series back to India with the launch of the Vivo S2 5G.
The Vivo S2 5G starts at Rs 39,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model costs Rs 44,999. The phone will go on sale from August 11 through Flipkart, Amazon, Vivo’s website and select retail outlets.
Vivo is also offering up to 10% instant cashback or discounts on select cards. The phone comes in Silk White, Sapphire Blue and Regal Bronze.
The phone features a 6.83-inch 3D curved AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support and up to 3,000 nits of peak local brightness. It runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 chipset and offers up to 256GB of storage.
The device packs a 7,050mAh battery with 45W fast charging. For photography, it gets a 50MP Sony primary rear camera and a 32MP front camera.
The Vivo S2 runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. Its 8GB RAM can also be virtually expanded by another 8GB using available storage. The phone carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
The launch marks Vivo’s return to the S-series in India after several years. Unlike the earlier S1, which was positioned at a much lower price, the S2 enters a considerably higher price segment, putting more focus on its display, battery, camera hardware and overall specifications.
