New Delhi, Sep 28(APAC Media): OnePlus has confirmed the launch date of the OnePlus 16.
The OnePlus 16 5G will launch in China on October 12, 2026. Li Jie Louis, president of OnePlus China, confirmed the date at the OnePlus Gaming Conference 2026. The company has also shared details about the phone’s gaming features and camera setup.
OnePlus 16 Gaming Features
Gaming will be a major focus of the OnePlus 16. The phone will support gaming at up to 185fps in selected games. These include Arena Breakout, Peace Elite, Nizhan: Future and Naruto Mobile.
The OnePlus 16 will also come with a new Fengchi Gaming Kernel. OnePlus says it will help manage the phone’s hardware during gaming. The phone will also use a three-chip system for touch response, network performance and display processing.
OnePlus 16 Camera And Specifications
The OnePlus 16 is expected to feature a 200MP main camera and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera. It will also have an ultra-wide camera.
The phone is expected to run Android 17-based software. Reports have also linked the OnePlus 16 to Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset. However, OnePlus has not yet confirmed all hardware details.
OnePlus 16 India Launch
The OnePlus 16 India launch has not been confirmed yet. Reports suggest that OnePlus could skip the standard OnePlus 16 in India and launch the OnePlus 16R as its top model instead.
OnePlus has not officially announced its India plans for the OnePlus 16. More information about the phone’s price, specifications and availability is expected around the October 12 launch.
